INGERSOLL - It's not enough just to protest a landfill if people don't learn to reduce their waste output.
That was the message from the Oxford People Against the Landfill Alliance and Funnell Insurance Group Friday night, August 24 when Ingersoll residents were treated to a free concert by Juno-nominated singer/songwriter Craig Cardiff.
Steve McSwiggan, a member of OPAL and one of the organizers for Friday night's events, said the group was raising awareness for its fight against the proposed landfill in Beachville but was also trying to encourage residents to reduce their garbage
